Badminton Correction Backhand Clear (1) Richard-1

Correction Backhand Clear (1) Richard-1 Hi Richard I saw your backhand clear clips and then I found number of things which you can change to make your backhand clear better The first one is your wrist should be cocked more what I mean is this ok if you look from that direction your wrist is like that you can see my knuckles you do that and then you hit the shuttlecock this way your wrist cannot be used so you may use 20%-30% of power you have 70% of power you have cannot be used with this grip have a look please look watch this, this is how you are hitting your racket because you have neutral grip good grip, well done but you did not change it you just go like that and you hit watch like this and hit so, did not change grip at all like this yup so you are hitting that way even more when you are late you try to generate more power and you make even bigger swing so shuttle goes deep, behind, deeper like this watch it like this now change it to this way this one should be that way not this way should be that way so your wrist can move that way if you look, if I see that side you are doing that like this it should be that way so your wrist can move like this watch so I will cock the wrist like that, thumb is behind I grip like that higher higher because you are using that way you may have 5 times more power than doing that this, no power further more you might get injury by using this way because you have to force it but when you cock your wrist that way it’s comfortable much more power you have you will be surprised how much power you have if you do that, so here cock like this shuttle came there If you would like Coach Lee to see your action clip and make correction video visit coachingbadminton.com CoachingBadminton.com

Where is your facility located? You seem to have a good environment for development.

  3. Hello lee.
My backhand is quite weak how can I improve it.
    Thank you.

  4. Fantastic explanation as always. I think I have decent technique but I'm certain I make this mistake too 🙁 thanks for your videos. Best coach.

  5. Hello Coach Lee,

I have been a great fan of your Badminton instructional training clips and they look so methodical which emphasizes more on proper techniques. In fact, I have developed much of my footwork and hitting skills by just watching your videos and applying the learning in my every game. Although I get frustrated sometimes every time I lose a two set game or wasn't able to practice your techniques. But nonetheless, they are very impressive at the get go. Thank you very much for these very helpful and significant undertakings. God bless.
