Badminton-What Destroys Your Smash (12) Doing the Sliding Step

What Destroys Your Smash (12) Doing the Sliding Step Can you please spot the difference between the first way of movement and the second way of movement for smash ok the first one I am talking about the feet movement the first one 1 2 3 4 5 6 the second one 1 2..3 4 5 6 ok I will change my view so you can see in different direction ready the first one 1 2 3 4 5 6 the second one 1 2..3 4 5 6 ok last the other way focus on my feet the first way 1 2 3 4 5 6 the second 1 2..3 4 5 6 can you see the difference you may, you may not I will explain to you what is different ok the first one 1 – little bit hop 2 – hop 3 – hop ok watch this 1 2 3 so between 1 jump, 2 jump 3 the first way is little bit hop each step that way my whole weight is moving together exact point of the space where I need to go the second one I hop I hop and then between 2 to 3 this player sliding it so there is time two feet are on the floor together so what makes this problem number 1 his weight is divided number 2 he has to move backwards ok watch this 1 2 3 if you hop between 2 to 3 your whole weight is stopped and then your whole weight can go forward now compare 1 2..3 4 one more 1 2..3 3 this makes smash poor because when you are hitting your weight is going back when you are hitting you cannot put whole of your weight to the shuttlecock so you must not slide you must not make sliding steps like this 1 2..3 3 4 instead 1 2 3 1 2 3 4 5 6 1 2 3 1 2 3 not 1 2..3 4 so that way your whole body going backward your arm is going forward so its divided like this 1 2..3 4 1 2..3 4 change this to 1 2 3 4 when you go to your club to play please try each step until the hit, has to be hopped 1 hopped, 2 hop 3 4 Not this way 1 2..3 4 that destroys your smash in particular and clear, drop shots all of your forehand shots makes poor. 1. thank god, no more echoing

  2. Very good observation, thank you.

  3. The lapel mic makes a huge difference, just the echo reduction alone makes it far easier to listen and understand. I hope you plan to use it more often.
