Day 2 Highlights | Courchevel 2019


Highlights from day 2 in Courchevel. In
the Rhythm Dance, Ekaterina KATASHINSKAIA and Aleksandr VASKOVICH of Russia
had a strong performance and secured third place with a 60.89 going into the free. Seasoned team of Elizaveta SHANAEVA and Devid NARYZHNYY of Russia were outstanding earning 63.76 and taking the second place position just two one hundredths behind the leaders.
Loicia DEMOUGEOT and Theo le MERCIER of France were also outstanding and hold a narrow
lead with a 63.78 going into the free. In the ladies final the exquisite skating of Maiia KHROMYKH of Russia was marred with a few mistakes as she dropped from 1st after the short
to 3rd overall with a 179.32. Seoyeong WI of Korea skated a clean
and precise performance as she maintained the 2nd position to take
home the silver with a 191.07. And after a struggle in the
warm-up Kamila VALIEVA of Russia nailed the quad toe at the top of her
program and skated beautifully the rest of the way was only one mistake as she
captured the gold with 200.71.
