table tennis forehand smash

STEVE FOSTER:
Welcome to AllAboutTableTennis.com Today we’re going to explain and demonstrate the
Forehand Smash. So for the Smash, it’s important to try and
get your body slightly sideways on And you need to start with your bat (racket) high So that you can come downwards
and forwards onto the ball So also try to – unless the lob is very high you want to try and take it at the top of the bounce So that it’s at the highest point
so you can hit it hard So, getting sideways on
bat (racket) high And then come downwards and forwards using similar technique to the Forehand Drive coming downwards over the ball OK. So we’re just going to demonstrate that now. I also use my other arm
to get a bit of pace on the ball.
