Table tennis: long and fast serve / Tischtennis: langer und schneller Aufschlag

Table tennis: long and fast serve / Tischtennis: langer und schneller Aufschlag

A long serve bounces only once on your opponent’s half of the table. A good long serve should be played as long and fast as possible. Let the ball bounce firstly close to the edge of your half of the table. The ball should bounce close to the edge of your opponents’s half of the table. Low ball contact keeps the serve flat. Long serves can lead to a direct point due to wrong or late reaction of your opponent. Be careful: After serving long, be prepared for your opponent’s attack and hold your racket above table height.
