Montz former pro and founder of Today we are learning how to do a fake Cruyff. If you want to learn how to do a real Cruyff
click here and watch the OSA video titled “How to do a Cruyff Turn”. In the real Cruyff turn you are doing a move
and completely changing directions to escape a defender. With a fake Cruyff, you are acting like you
are changing directions but you fake and continue moving forward. This is a great move for creating
a 2-3 steps of space between you and a defender to get a shot, pass or cross off. Key Points: Key Point #1
Dribble with the foot you want to use to do the fake Cruyff. If you are right footed,
dribble with your right foot keeping the ball on the right side of your body. Key Point #2
Fake like you are going to kick the ball. Get your arms involved, swing your leg, really
sell that you are about kick it. Key Point #3
Stop the ball with the inside of your foot on the front side of the ball. Your toes should
be pointed down at an angle and your ankle should be locked. Key Point #4
Pause! You want to make sure you pause in the Cruyff position for a second. This gets
the defender to stop in their tracks because they think you are about to do the Cruyff
and change direction. If you don’t pause and you do the fake Cruyff
to fast the defender won’t even realize what you are doing and they will just keep running
with you. Make sure you pause, let them stop, then do the fake cruyff and go. Key Point #5
Bring the outside of your foot to the inside of the ball by bringing your foot over the
top of the ball, then push the ball forward 2-3 steps with the outside of your foot. Key Point #6
Change Pace and make a quick decision! Go fast and explode out of this move. Now that
you have created 2-3 steps of space for yourself quickly get off your cross, shot or pass.
Don’t wait for that defender to catch up to you. All you need is 1-2 seconds to make a
play. Equipment Needed:
You will need a ball and 5 cones. Before we set up the exercise I want to let
you know about Believe in it®. Believe in it® is apparel that inspires you to reach
your goal. Go to and enter your email to be alerted when we launch
soon! Exercise Player Can Do:
Now, an exercise we can do to practice. Before we get the cones out practice the Fake Cruyff
from a stand still so you can take your time and get use to it. Once comfortable set up a start cone, place
three cones close together about 10 yards ahead of the start cone, this will be your
imaginary defender and an end cone about 10 yards away from the middle cones. Dribble
up to the middle cones but be on the side of them, do your fake cruyff, then accelerate
to the top cone. Turn around and repeat this exercise going the other direction. Make sure to have a slower run up as you are
learning. Then as you get better you can increase how fast you are dribbling before doing the
fake cruyff. Do 10 reps, resting a few seconds between
each rep and then rest and repeat the exercise until you feel confident. What Player Could Be Doing Wrong:
Some things that could be going wrong. If the ball is going behind you when you take
your Cruyff touch then you are kicking the ball and not stopping it with your touch. If this is the case do your run up slower
until you get the move right before going to fast. Remember to stop the ball with the
inside of your foot, not kick it backwards. Bonus Tip
Remember to make a quick decision after the fake cruyff! This move should give you 2-3
steps of space from the defender so you can quickly get off your cross, shot or pass.
Don’t wait for that defender to catch up to you. All you need is 1-2 seconds to make a
play. Hope you enjoyed this Online Soccer Academy

  26. What is the success rate of this trick?

  27. I saw a video and it said the average pro player took 1246 hours a year of intense training. I don't know if I can do this. I'm just a beginner, I'm 14 years old and I want to go pro but I'm not sure how to if I need that much time. Does it matter how much time the session is? Also should I use weights in my strength training I'm not sure about using weights because my friends and parents tell me it stops growth, puts pressure on your shoulders and can give you back injury

  34. Jared im more of a passer, I can ass pretty good. I play midfield from time to time, but one thing i struggle with is my takeoff with the ball. Im not a fast runner so I choke when im in a one on one situation. If someone is marking me i just pass the ball back to the defender, I find it difficult to challenge my marker how do I change this habit of mine
