An ex-Sky Sports News presenter has revealed his horrific injuries after he was glassed in a pub by thugs Ian Payne, who now works for ITV, tweeted a picture of two nasty cuts which left him needing stitches The 56-year-old wrote: “Thank-you Met Police and NHS West Middlesex Hospital for your amazing skills “Not thank u to the glasser who thought this was ok.” Former Everton and Scotland footballer Don Hutchinson tweeted: “Bloody hell mate you ok?” In response, Payne joked “I bleed so I can die” in a tweet with a picture of the blood-soaked tissue he’d used TV and radio presenter Jacqui Oatley tweeted: “That’s absolutely shocking! So sorry it happened “Hope they identify/catch the culprit. Get well soon x.” Payne said he couldn’t even remember clearly how the disgusting attack happened, but “one minute I’m having a laugh, next minute A & E ” He added: “When you need them, our emergency services are the best in the world Seriously. Thank you. “The police were amazing. And the doctors. Seriously. Amazing ” Replying to a concerned well-wisher who asked what happened, Payne said: “No idea Weird f***ers out there.” He later confessed that he was “still bemused by it all” In an update tonight he questioned, “Why has Britain become so violent?”
