Welcome to Sportmanager. In this video, we’ll show you how to run a badminton tournament with the app. First from the homepage, you can access the badminton tournaments by clicking on the badminton card. then you must login in the top right section of the app don’t worry, only the manager must login. No need to ask to hundreds of players to subscribe to yet another thing! After your are logged in, you can create a new tournament with the Add button. From here you can chose a banner for your event then specify the name , location and date of the event. Once this step is done, head to the entries tab where you can add events and players. First add as many events as you need by clicking the Plus button. In the event setup form, you can specify the tournament settings. In the event setup form, you can specify the tournament settings. It is advised to use short event name, 3 letter code work best. You then chose a start date and time. Event with the same start time will be played together For now we will create a round robin tournament where 2 players of each pool advance to the finals. After events are created, you need to add players. To add a player, just press the add button then edit the player information by adding the name. The event he is subscribed to. And his partner’s name. During the setup stage, you can choose to leave the tournament private, but, don’t forget to make it public when the tournament day come so that everyone can see the live results! Once players are subscribed, You are ready to start an event. Head to the event tab and review the players list. You can also seed some players by adding their rank in front of their name. Then, the app will suggest you different pools options Select an option depending on your prefered pool size. A list of pools will be created. Change can be made by clicking a player. Once you’re satisfied with the pools, click “create matchs”. F From here you have 2 options to enter score. For small tournament you can enter the score by clicking the match directly in the pool. But for larger tournament with of lots of matchs, it is prefered to use the control table. The control table let you send matchs from the waiting list to a courts, and input the score when the match is done. the waiting list can also be sorted and searched. Unplayable matchs will be highlighted red so you can easily skip them without delaying the tournament. During the round robin stage, indicators will inform players of their current rank and if they qualify for the finals round. Qualified players will have a checkmark in front of their rank. Players who won’t qualify will have a x mark in front of thier rank. . Once a players qualify his name will appear in the finals bracket below the pools. In the final Bracket, Change to the seeding can also be made by clicking the player. Also, like in the round robin, score can be written by clicking the match Or if you prefer, just go back to the control table and follow along with the match list. That pretty much it !
