This is the event where we recognise the achievements of local people That deserve to be, but are often taken for granted. So for us as a local authority, to be able to recognise and reward them For what they’ve done for the local community is massive. I’m Jack, I do wakeboarding, I live in Surrey and I’m 17 years old I started wakeboarding when I was young; I was 3 years old. I’ve carried on ever since. I’ve really enjoyed this event, everyone has been really nice and there’s been a nice atmosphere. It’s really nice to have all the people involved in sport in Surrey Heath together. And talk about how they can improve and things have gone this year. It’s an achievement and it’s a great thing to encourage young people to play Cricket. And especially those who don’t have many opportunities to. as far as I’m concerned, that’s the justification for the whole thing. Plenty of people have clearly contributed enormously to sport in the area; trying to give young
people every opportunity to to get involved, find out about sport. and to bring all the advantages of playing sport with them.
