Who Won The Battle For Azeroth? – Alliance VS Horde

Hello guys this is Doronsmovies and today
I will be talking about the Battle for Azeroth and who actually won this war? Sure Sylvanas left, we are now going into
the Shadowlands, but let’s talk about what the outcome of the conflict is and what are
the consequences. So without further ado, let’s get into the
lore. The war itself really started for no serious
reason and it turned out to be a manipulation by the Jailer and Sylvanas. At the start, it was because of Azerite and
Sylvanas seeing the opportunity to take out the Alliance in a quick manner. However, it was later revealed that she really
created the conflict in order to spread destruction and death that would feed the maw and her
new ally in the Shadowlands and finally herself. The war started with the destruction of Teldrassil
and with it Darnassus the capital of the night elves. In retaliation, the Alliance launched the
Siege of Lordaeron conquering Undercity even though it was ultimately blighted and destroyed
by Sylvanas. Subsequently, both factions went to find new
allies first with the allied races that we recently encountered being recruited and then
going to Zandalar and Kul’Tiras to expand the factions. While the Kul’Tirans and the Zandalari trolls
would join, the Horde and the Alliance would constantly sabotage each other and there would
be non-stop skirmishes. King Rastakhan was ultimately killed in the
Battle for Dazar’alor as the Alliance severely weakened the trolls prior to that event. At the same time two major war fronts were
created, the Battle for Darkshore and the Battle for Stromgarde. The battle for Darkshore was in retaliation
to the Horde as they had previously conquered the area and used it to stage the attack and
to destroy Teldrassil. The Alliance with Tyrande at the helm launched
an intense-counter attack to retake night elven land. On the other side of the planet, the Horde
attempts to take Stromgarde and the Arathi Highlands in order to progress into a continuous
assault on southern Eastern Kingdoms and Gilneas, while the Alliance attempts to hold the defence
position of key strategical importance. During all of this chaos a civil war would
once again start within the Horde as many grew opposed to the nefarious methods used
by Sylvanas and they questioned their loyalties. Saurfang the prominent opposition leader gathered
the rebel forces and reached the gates of Orgrimmar. A combined rebel and Alliance attack was prepared
on all 3 sides of the capital city however the battle ultimately ended with the mak’gora
between Varok and the Warchief. Sylvanas easily handled the orc, however she
finally revealed her true intentions and her lack of care for the Horde and even her Forsaken. We learned that she had acquired new powers
and had new goals as she had abandoned the faction flying off to ultimately reach the
Frozen Throne and to open the gateway to the Shadowlands. This seemingly ended the war but what really
happened and who won the Battle for Azeroth? Well after the famous mak’gora an armistice
was reached between the Horde and the Alliance however this didn’t mean an end to the war. If we observe the dialogues Jaina confirms
that the bulk of the war is over however pockets of fighting still remain and that it will
take some time to actually reach peace. Even Kul’Tiras realize that the conflict is
near it’s end and they mention scaling their war efforts, although they don’t say anything
about stop them. In regards to the major battles it was confirmed
by Blizzard that Alliance had won them. Tyrande managed to retake Darkshore with the
night elves once again acquiring their core land. In the Eastern Kingdoms, the Alliance managed
to hold Stromgarde and to repel the Horde attack, maintaining a strong presence in the
Northern Eastern Kingdoms. With this key location and Undercity ruined
the Horde presence on the continent was severely weakened. The reason for this as said by Blizzard is
because both of these locations were important and were historical Alliance strongholds and
it felt right for the story for it to happen. Officially at the moment, the Fourth war is
said to be on hold, but in my opinion, the outcome is sort of a pyrrhic victory for the
Alliance. They managed to win the two key warfronts,
they got Sylvanas out of power and they dealt a serious blow to the new Horde allies the
Zandalari. Undercity was destroyed and the Alliance has
a stronger hold now on their main continent. However the Horde wasn’t exactly completely
defeated. In the end Sylvanas really was an enemy of
the Horde so they managed to regain their autonomy and in the process of the war they
found quite a lot of new allies strengthening their position not just in manpower but in
land expansion. The Horde destroyed Teldrassil and even though
the night elves managed to retake Darkshore and their foothold on the shore the Horde
definitely has a stronger grip on Kalimdor. Why I see this as a phyric victory is because
even though Alliance technically won they aren’t exactly winners. The primary objective of the Alliance wasn’t
really to conquer the world but to pacify the Horde and to retake their land so they
were successful in that. Still a lot of lives were lost and both factions
were already depleted from the battle against the Burning Legion which was a very recent
conflict, so this new war created many new casualties and you can’t really rebuild and
restore manpower in the span of just a few years. So I’d say power wise both factions are really
worse off than they were before. Still, we will see how effective we will all
be in the Shadowlands. Thank you for watching. Check out who would win in a battle between
Sylvanas and Arthas by clicking on the screen and also check out the second channel Doron’s

  1. Definitely not the players/subscribers lol.

  2. Looks like it will be a good one.
Edit: it was as always, good work Doron!

  3. Briefly covering the Battle for Azeroth and talking about the outcome of the conflict. Despite Blizzard confirming some victories who do you guys think got the better end of the war? Also if you haven't checked out the second channel Doron's Academy it will be relaunching very soon. – Second Channel: http://bit.ly/SecondChannelDoron

  4. A tricky question. Alliance actually didnt do much this war unfortunately. It was mainly Horde. Technically they were the ones who destroyed a whole city and even managed to devastate Alliances Army.

  5. The alliance did as saurfang rebellion was on the alliance's side plus it was anduin's sword there won the battle.

  6. I hate Blizzard. Again they set the Horde as the second villains. They repeated Pandaria … and people did it.

  7. is it me or when the moment Blackhand died, every major war the Horde (kinda) always lose.

  8. In my opinion, the Horde is the main victor. The Alliance has suffered far higher casaulties and has lost more battles than the Horde. And to make the things even worse for the Alliance, without the Horde rebellion the Alliance probably wouldn't have even been able to defeat Sylvanas

  9. Neither. Sylvanas won.

  10. Sylvanas won the war while the Alliance and Horde destroyed each other. The Alliance lost Darnassus and wont be able to fully reacquire the Lordaeron capital city because of the blight. The Horde gets dragged into another war at the whim of yet another evil warchief and now have to remake their political structure to prevent it from happening again. Both sides suffered countless casualties including the loss of their naval forces.Neither faction won this war because this war was ultimately pointless and never needed to occur.

  11. Isn't it obvious all of us! As this expansion is almost over!

  12. Warchief Sylvanas won !! But if the Horde leaders/ heroes were loyal like Nathanos to their Warchief the Horde would destroy the Alliance but thanks to traitorous mongrels like Saurfang , Baine the Horde lose.

  13. I think the alliance is the winner, but they suffer heavy price. Sure the alliance help saurfang's supporter, but saurfang's supporter only few in numbers than the alliance, and the alliance did the greater fight. So the alliance is the winner. Even though i still think sylvanas is the true winner in this blood war.

  14. Azerite isn't "no apparent reason" I feel it's pretty big to make a war about control of nuke

  15. 2:13 I don't think the opposite site of Kalimdor is Eastern Kingdoms, what we see in game is one hemisphere, or maybe just big chunk of it… so I would rather say on the other side of world than side of planet

  16. Goal of Horde was get rid of Sylvanas, she was the threat of the Horde… I would say strategic victory for Alliance, tactical draw… but deffinitely not pyrhic victory, because it's not really a victory… 😀

  17. Excellent video as always, Doron. Glory to the Alliance!

  18. Saurfang won the battle for Azeroth.

  19. 4:42 There's my boy.

  20. Alliance have always been stronger than the horde in the lore

  21. So i was mind controlling the aliance Off cliffs for nothing ?
